The one where I learn to digitize...

Hey Guys!

Let's talk about how I learnt to digitize and create my own designs. To put it simply, I wasn’t exactly born with a natural artistic flair. Learning to craft designs from scratch felt like taking a leap into the unknown. The design software, in particular, was like exploring uncharted territory without a map. I spent hours trying to understand the nuances of layers, buttons, and tools – it was like piecing together a puzzle without the picture on the box.

My initial attempts at design? They were... well, let's say they had character. It was more like accidental abstract art than intentional design. I'm pretty sure I’ve set a new standard for 'abstract' art without even trying. I vividly remember my first few attempts feeling like trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle in the dark. Every odd curve, misplaced color, or mismatched shape became a lesson in the art of ‘what not to do’.

Failure became a frequent visitor. I’d often find myself at a crossroad of frustration and determination, fixing more mistakes than creating progress. It was like being lost in a maze where each turn led to dead-ends of trial and error.

But gradually, there was a shift. I began to decipher the design language, bit by bit. Every mistake brought me closer to the core understanding of design. My designs, while still not flawless, became less of a chaotic mess and more like a work in progress.

This journey was an emotional rollercoaster. It was like learning to walk - plenty of stumbles and falls, but eventually, steps in the right direction. There were moments where I even wanted to toss my laptop out the window and declare myself the president of ‘Anti-Designers Anonymous.’

It definitely wasn’t a straight line to success. More like a zigzagging, twisty-turny adventure filled with more ups and downs than a rollercoaster. It took countless tutorials, squinting at the screen like it held the secrets of the universe, and feeling a bit like a wizard when I finally got a handle on a new tool.

I should also probably mention the countless cups of chai that got me through this (seriously, my caffeine tolerance is off the charts).

So, here’s to the journey, the mess, and the triumphs waiting to be uncovered.

Anyways, back to creating some designs I hope you'll love!
